Querini Stampalia Foundation

The Querini Stampalia Foundation is a unique cultural venue in Venice. In the heart of the city, an ancient and noble palace preserves precious historical collections and works by great contemporary architects: Carlo Scarpa, Mario Botta, Valeriano Pastor, Michele De Lucchi. Ancient and modern, past and present are continuously linked.
In the environmental museum, furniture, porcelain, sculptures, paintings from the Fourteenth to the Twentieth Century, mostly from the Venetian school, create the atmosphere of a Venetian patrician residence. Since 2018 the Foundation has welcomed the Intesa Sanpaolo collection, which belonged to the Cassa di Risparmio di Venezia. A treasure of art and history, it includes works by Canaletto, Domenico Tintoretto, Giambattista Tiepolo, but also Caffi, Ciardi, Martini, Viani. A refined bookshop, an artist’s café and the secret garden designed by Carlo Scarpa make a visit here truly unique. It’s a real and unexpected side of Venice, in which to experience the emotion of art and beauty.
