Palazzo Grassi – Punta della Dogana,
Pinault Collection Venice

Inaugurated in 2006 and 2009, Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana are the two exhibition spaces of the Pinault Collection in Venice. Located in two historic buildings in Venice and restored by the Japanese architect Tadao Ando, they alternate collective and monographic exhibitions of the protagonists of international art of our time, from Damien Hirst to Rudolf Stingel, from Cindy Sherman to Roni Horn, from Maurizio Cattelan to Charles Ray.
Among the largest collections of contemporary art in the world, the Pinault Collection has grown over 40 years to represent over 10,000 works of contemporary art, from the 1960s to today. Since 2013, a new cultural space has been added to the exhibition spaces: the Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi. Conceived by Tadao Ando, this 225-seat auditorium strengthens the extensive artistic and cultural programme by offering an intense calendar of events including conferences, concerts and screenings, and underlines the desire to establish a dialogue with both local and international visitors. A program of workshops, activities and thematic and tailor-made visits allows a variety of opportunities to visit, learn about and experience a cultural experience, suitable for visitors of all ages and languages.
